  1. Cronenberg is a director I really need to explore, I’ve seen so little of his films, and as a fellow Canadian, I feel it’s my duty to explore his films.

  2. Not THAT much, two different and slightly changed order. Well, it’s pretty different.

Jeremy, yes you should explore more of his films! It’s a national identity imperative.

  3. Considering how similar our favorites are for Cronenberg, you really need to see Crash, which belongs in any top five list for him. Also, the absence of any of his early work is notable: no love for The Brood or Scanners, or have you just not seen them yet?

Here would be my Cronenberg ranking for everything I’ve seen:

    1. Dead Ringers
    2. Crash
    3. Videodrome
    4. Eastern Promises
    5. The Brood

    6. Scanners
    7. The Fly
    8. The Dead Zone
    9. Naked Lunch
    10. Stereo

    11. A History of Violence
    12. Crimes of the Future
    13. Spider

  4. Interesting top-5. Mine would probably resemble
    Videodrome
    Dead Ringers
    The Fly
    Crash
    The Dead Zone

But even that wouldn’t do, as I also love
    The Brood
    Eastern Promises
    Naked Lunch
    A History of Violence

He really is one of my favourite directors. Spider and eXistenZ are also really interesting.

I think the only Cronenberg film I dislike is M Butterfly.
