  3. I’m curious, have you seen Gran Torino? It’s a pretty fascinating performance by Clint – almost a parody of the Man With No Name and Dirty Harry, and yet totally original too. It’s practically the summation of every ornery, no-nonsense character he’s ever played, so if it really is his final performance like he says it is, it’s the perfect way to go out.

  4. Gah, wonderful list! ADORE the inclusions of Dana Andrews and Eli Wallach – who seem to be so shamefully overlooked these days in comparison to the screen ‘legends’. Disgraceful, I say! 🙂

    Love Mason too and I’m *desperate* to see ‘Bigger Than Life’.
