I’m not sure if I agree this has been their best decade, but having not seen any of the films they’ve done since The Man Who Wasn’t There, I’m not exactly qualified to make that judgment anyway.
I did see this when it hit theatres and really liked it. Glad to see it on your list. Wish I were familiar with the others you’ve posted so far.

I just watched The Cheap Detective which also had Paul Williams in it. I had to look up who he was because he looked so familiar. Turns out I recognized him from the Muppet Movie. The Cheap Detective was also a who’s who of 70s stars: Madeline Kahn, Ann Margret, Eileen Brennan, Dom Delouise, Louise Fletcher and Abe Vigoda.

I hate Blood Simple, and dislike The Big Lebowski and The Man Who Wasn’t There. I’m also pretty lukewarm on Fargo.
